Saddle Spread (Very IMPORTANT)

IMPORTANT you get this right because it ensures perfect string-over-magnet alignment for the pickups and consequently great string to string level balance.

Measure your saddle spread and click the corresponding image. Doing this presents the right menu choices for the pickup in the Tabs below.

Left side: Original wide USA bridge Bridge with saddle spread of approximately 55.5mm(2-3/16") HINT: some Asian models also have an original wide spaced bridge.

Right side: Bridge with narrow saddle spread of approximately 52mm(2-3/64") HINT: American and other country models retro fitted with a narrow Mastery, Staytrem, Tune-O-matic & Adjusto-matic bridge.

Please disregard the original magnet spreads because they are often wrong, when chosen with the above information Kinman magnet spreads will be far superior to anything that came before.

Info and options for Kinman Converge-3 splitting controls

Noiseless split single coil option

Firstly, our splitting control includes our pre-set Jangle control which operates on the humbucker sound. This option is not available on the non-noiseless split single coil version.
Secondly, the inclusion of our special splitting control is mandatory because the circuitry is complex and is designed into the attached Printed Circuit Board.
Thirdly, our rotary control with it’s Push/Push switch can be configured as a Volume control or as a Tone control that operates on the associated pickup. Select the option in the order form.
Finally, if you prefer, the splitting control can be a mini-toggle switch with Gold plated contacts which avoid switching noise. Bushing diameter is 6mm but we supply ours with an adaptor bezel for mounting into a 3/8” (9.5mm) hole which is the diameter of American controls.

Non-noiseless split single coil option
