Designed expressly for convenient splitting of our marvelous Converge-3 that is 100% Silent in both modes and ALL positions.  We have eliminated the usual Push/Push Converge-3 splitting controls and now the following modes are available from a single 5 position Stratocaster lever switch.  Illustrated switching charts at bottom of page.

The usual HSH ... (Splitting Humbucker bridge / Strat middle / Splitting Humbucker neck)

Definitions:  Mix is either mixed or not, ON or OFF / Blend is gradual mixing

• Position 1 is full bridge humbucker
• Position 2 split bridge single coil
• Position 3 middle Strat (or any other Zero-Hum single coil)
• Position 4 is split neck single coil
• Position 5 is full neck humbucker
• Plus there is a rotary No-Load control which blends the middle single coil with any other selection (1, 2, 4 & 5)
• Optionally there is a Push-Push switch attached to the above rotary control (which is now assigned as a Tone control) that mixes the neck split-single with the following ...

Position 1) Full non-split bridge humbucker (think clucky Tele pos 2 sound)
Position 2) Split-single coil in the bridge (two split Converges on together, a variation of pos 3 below)
Position 3) Middle Strat (Split-single neck in parallel with the middle Strat, Knopfler-esque sound with quack)

as well as the follow selections (not mixed)

Position 4) Neck split single coil
Position 5) Half the split neck single, non-noiseless, a low output single coil sound which is useful as an acoustic sound.

Well, that's just one connection scheme, our switching is designed to be flexible and for example it can also be supplied like this ....

• Position 1 full bridge humbucker
• Position 2 bridge split single coil + middle
• Position 3 bridge split single coil + split neck single coil
• Position 4 middle Strat + neck split single coil
• Position 5 full neck humbucker
• Plus the rotary No-Load Mix control which blends the middle single coil with other selections (pos 1, 4 & 5)

And here's our HSS splitting bridge humbucker with a dual voiced Strat neck pickup with tapped coils

• Position 1 full bridge humbucker
• Position 2 bridge split single coil + middle
• Position 3 middle Strat
• Position 4 neck Strat tapped coil **
• Position 5 neck Strat full coil
• Plus the rotary No-Load Mix control which blends the middle single coil with other selections (pos 1, 2, 4 & 5)

**  we developed a special tapped coil for our Strat pickups.  Full coil is one of our usual models but Tapped is low output vintage like our Impersonator E69.  100% Zero-Hum in both modes.

And now our 2 pickup HH model for 2 Converge-3 multi-sound humbuckers

• Position 1 full bridge humbucker
• Position 2 bridge split single coil + middle
• Position 3 neck humbucker in parallel with bridge split single
• Position 4 neck split single coil
• Position 5 full neck humbucker

Think up a switching scheme you would like and we will endeavor to make it for you in our Kinman Custom Shop .... and at little or no additional cost.  Also suitable for HSS or SSH applications.  This K6+ Can also split ordinary splitting humbuckers, but of course the split single coils will not be noiseless as they are with our Converge-3.

Soldering is eliminated 100% with this ingenious harness even when other pickups are connected.  Provides the optimum electrical environment which allows the pickups to develop their full sonic and feel potential.

Introduced in March 2024 the K6-Plus comes with 6+ sound switching as standard.  The K6 rotary control is the lower knob that, in conjunction with the 5 pos switch, gives you 6+ combinations of the 3 pickups, the extra sounds being similar but different to the normal position 2/4 sounds by mixing the middle Strat pickup with the bridge and neck pickups, in both un-split and split mode.  Our standard HSH model also has a Push/Push switch attached to the above rotary mix control that mixes the neck split single with positions 1, 2 or 3.

Click this link for the K6 sound switching chart   The Tone control is a Master control that operates on all 3 pickups. 

There are 2 different tone capacitors that can be selected by a mini slide switch mounted on the harness.  Slide one direction to get Kinman's High Definition tone control or slide the opposite direction to get a regular tone control if you want normal extreme treble cut.

The volume pot has the famous Kinman treble bypass filter (aka treble bleed) so you won't lose highs when you turn the volume down.  The Tone pot and the K6 mix pot are 500k No-Load type (with end detent) and the Volume pot is 250k since our Converge-3 humbucker does not need 500k.

Another unique feature is the pots are user replaceable without soldering (in the rare event one needs to be replaced).

Shipped with pots set to normal torque but convert easily to Easy Turn pots (right hand only) for easy finger rolling (violinning), the Install Guide shows how.  The Tone pot is the No-load type (without detent).  The Volume pot for Strat pickups actually measures 250K+.
