Comes in two versions ....

• 59+ LPS Lite with the ideal 47.5mm pole spread for the neck position (another Kinman exclusive) Follow this link to see pictures.
• 59+ LPS with 50mm or 53mm pole spread for the bridge position

Technical & Application info:

Laser engraved identity info so you'll always know.

Direct replacement for conventional humbuckers such as Gibson, Duncan etc.  Some guitars (a few Ibanez, some Fender Strat and one or two others) have pickups with excessively rounded corners.  If a pickguard is fitted (for example Fender Strat Deluxe) a small modification to the pickguard opening to accommodate a Kinman humbucker is well worth the effort since Kinman's sound so much better.  The cavity in the body is suitable as it is.

Hook-up cable

• Standard is 2 conductor shielded with robusted ends
• ESSC splitting version has one two conductor and one 3 conductor shielded cable with robust ends.
• See our 2n1 Multi-Sound for splitting to ultimate single coil sound.
• 380mm / 15" long.

Connection means available

• Bare wires for soldering.
• Kinman connectors for plugging into any Kinman Goodbye-Soldering Harness.- including the 2 pickup KHP-90 harness for Les Paul style guitars.
• Gibson 2 wire and 5 wire Quick Connect plug for Gibson circuit board harness.

Output Polarity: 

• in-phase with Gibson and Copy humbuckers
• in-phase with all other Kinman pickups
• opposite phase to Fender Strat
• ESSC versions can not be phase reversed and must be specially ordered as such.

Pot & Capacitor values

• Best with 500k Ohm for Volume & Tone.  Many Gibson's have 300k and that works fine too as does 250k.
• Normal tone cap value of 0.022µF in 63 ~ 100 volt Polyester.  Smaller value lessen the severity of Treble cut, higher values increase it.

Pole spreads

that provide optimum string-over-pole alignment.  Our Ordering System automatically allocates the correct pole spacing according to the bridge spacing you indicate.

• where the bridge saddle spacing is a standard Gibson 52mm (or less than 54mm for some other brands).
  • 47.5mm for neck position (introduced March 2021)
  • 50mm for bridge position
• where the bridge saddle spacing on a Stratocaster is 56.4mm (vintage 6 point bridge)
  • 50mm for neck position
  • 53mm for bridge position

Mounting options

• conventional 2 screw mounting,
• also available with 3 screw mounting (you specify the distance between the two top screws)

Covers and colors

• Open top Natural Nickel-Silver, highly recommended and have zero impact on sonic performance
• Closed top Natural Nickel-Silver, have low impact on sonic performance 
• Electro real Gold plating on closed top covers does impact on treble frequencies.
• Various colored top plates are available for open top covers (Black, Cream, White and 6 different Pearloid colors) with clear, scratch resistant protector plate.
• Kinman humbuckers are engineered differently without molded butyrate plastic bobbins.  Removing covers will not reveal bobbins and we advise against it.
