Now that I've had a few months to work with your pickups and push them on gigs, I have to tell you that the experience gets better and better. It's terrific to not have the hum on the Stratocaster but the sound I'm getting from the K9 setup (I have an HX-85 bridge pickup) is thrilling. I don't even use a distortion pedal now, just a 22 watt Fender Deluxe pushed to 8. The rest is all sweet output from the pickups. I'm getting nice comments on the sound and surprised responses when I point out that there is no effects processing going on.
