Tele Blaster set - Huge HUge HUGE Tele SounD

Brett blasts it out

Soft n pretty

Tele Blaster set (both pickups are the Gen-2 type)

You want really loud?  You want really great dynamic sound?  You want a Blast?  You found it here, the Tele Blaster set has our renowned Bridge Blaster and the new matching Neck Blaster, the loudest, most dynamic and most powerful Tele pickups alive that have Alnico rod magnets.  These pickups are so loud they match the loudness of a Gibson Les Paul or SG so players who complain about the loudness difference of their Fender and Gibson take note.

But, these clean up really really well, especially in out TK series Goodbye-Soldering harness.  Listen to the YouTube left side above.

One customer from Texas recently wrote "These are off the chart excellent!! I've tried so many conventional and noiseless....I'm fortunate I did not give up the search for the best. My search is over with Kinman. In my personal observation, these are so good, I'm retro-fitting all my guitars with Kinman. Thanks a million for THE BEST pick-ups made!!! Ciao Terry

You want the much loved in-between sound with both pickups on together?  Far from being sacrificed for loudness you'll get the BIGGEST Tele hollow cluck sound you've ever heard.  Yessirree Bob, all of that with Zero-Hum and then some.

Normally pickups this loud and fat sacrifice sonic character and dynamics but not Kinman's that have our marvelous Gen-2 technology.

If sharp twang is your thang a great alternative bridge pickup is the AVn-60b.

Read more detail about the individual pickups on the Single Pickup top Tab.

We recommend you scroll to the Technical & Application Info section below for important stuff you should know.

Introduced 31-Mar-2017

Some people will call these noiseless Telecaster pickups but Kinman prefers to describe them correctly as Zero-Hum Telecaster pickups.  That's because there are 2 types of noise, Hum which is cancelled in the pickup and Buzz which can only be minimized by shielding the wiring cavities (refer to >Technical >Perfect Guitar >Shielding for newer guitars

Number of parts in this pickup: 172
Number of parts in normal pickup: 10
Number of parts in other brand noiseless: 23

US Patents 7,022,909 & 8,791,351

Adjustment requirements

Please refer to >Technical >Adjust & Setup

Cavity depths required

  • 19mm (3/4").  Suitable for all Teles except vintage spec models which have 16mm (5/8") and these may require deepening by 2 or 3mm (1/8").

Connection means available

  • Bare wires for soldering.
  • Kinman connectors for plugging into any Kinman Goodbye-Soldering Harness.

Pot & Capacitor values

  • Neck pickup is best with a 500k or 1Meg volume pot.  Sounds OK but will have subdued piano mid tones & twang with 250k.
  • Bridge pickup is best with 250k volume pot.  Sounds OK but develops less low down grunt with 500k.
    • Our Goodbye-Soldering Harness can incorporate our Auto-Change device which provide both 250k and 500k for either neck or bridge or both.
    • If you don't include a Harness, for additional $25 we will include a 500k pot and parts and instructions for our Auto-Change device with your order for when the other pickups requires 250k.
  • Tone pot is usually the same value as the volume but for a little more top end brightness can be 1meg or a No-Load.
  • Stock pots can actually measure as low as 350k.  Pots in our Goodbye-Soldering Harness are guaranteed to measure no less that 500k.
  • Normal tone cap value of 0.022uF in 63 ~ 100 volt Polyester.  Smaller value reduces the severity of Treble cut, larger values increase it.

Magnet spreads

  • Bridge 55mm (standard)
  • Neck 50mm (standard)

Magnet Staggers

  • Normal improved Stagger to suit 7 ~ 14 inch range uniform radius fretboards including USA Custom Guitar Compound 7-1/4" ~ 9-1/2
  • Flat Stagger for specific compound radius fretboards (Warmoth 10 ~ 16 inch and Post 2010 Fender Deluxe 9 ~ 14")
  • Option to change the magnet stagger of sets and singles in our 'After-Order Supplementary Questions' email we send you.

Hook-up cables

  • Cut generously longer than necessary for Telecasters.
  • Custom lengths by request with Order.
  • Bridge pickups have 2 conductor shielded.  The 3 mounting screws provide a ground link to the bridge/strings.
  • Neck pickup has 3 conductor shielded cable (suitable for series connection of 4 pos switch -and- phase reversible -and- compatible with Fender's S1 harness).

Output Polarity:

Both pickups are Phase reversible when specified with 3 single hook-up wires so can adapt to any companion pickups

We highly recommend consulting the Install Guide in Tech Info even if you think you know it all.  Kinmans' require specialized knowledge and sometimes there is updated info.  There is also a handy wiring diagram available.

We also highly recommend consulting the Adjust & Set-up page in Tech Info so you get the best out of your Kinman pickups.

** Alnico-K is a unique proprietary Alnico rod magnet developed by Kinman in 1985.  It is Alnico-5 but has 40% less string pull than Alnico-5 so sustain is longer and there is much less clatter from string crash and no Strat-itis string warble.
