How to order: There are 3 ways to order your Kinman Tele* pickups

  1. Buy a Named set of 2 or 3 pickups (click the Named Sets Tab at the top)
  2. Mixed set of 2 Tab. Mix any neck with any bridge, having regard for the cautionary notes.
  3. Click the BUY button of any Single pickup.

Fascinating story about Kinman Tele* pickups:
When I set about creating my Telecaster* pickups I had a persistent determination to preserve the Period Correct appearance and sound of the originals, I wanted to avoid them being different versions of my Strat pickups.  To accomplish this I couldn't use my existing Strat pickup design so I invented totally new H-Core technology, with it's own set of Patents, especially for Telecasters.  The high precision H-Core is so difficult to manufacture it took me 3 years to perfect the manufacturing methods (see photos to the right). 

But the massive effort in terms of time and special equipment that had to be invented and constructed was worth it in the end.  These are not just Strat pickups in a different guise, these are totally new and have their own unique quintessential Telecaster character with abundant presence. 

The patented H-Core hum sensing bobbin consists of 150 pieces of 'H' shaped steel stampings bonded together with steel End-Caps to form a bobbin.  All adjacent plates are separated by a 7 micron gap (a human hair is 75 microns) so no electrical current can flow between plates.  Coils wound on this H-Core are 240% more efficient compared to the Pin-Core hum sensor of my Strat pickups.  This ultra high efficiency allows the coil to me minimized making it completely transparent to the string signal which passes though it.  This H-core is a world first never before seen in guitar pickups.  It took me 3 years of exhaustive R&D to figure out how to manufacture this special bobbin, and now we make them every day in-house.  Of course it's Patented (Patent 7,022,909).  This innovative bobbin is the secret of how I was able to create zero-hum, authentic sounding Tele pickups that retain the Period Correct appearance of the originals, with Alnico magnets and the black cotton twine coil wrap.  It was also one of the keys in the development of the P-90 Hx.

Anyone wondering about the value for money aspect of these products will no doubt develop a deeper appreciation after seeing this; you won't find too many pickup makers who would like to make two of these for the price I am asking, that is if they even know how to make it.

Dimensions of all Kinman Telecaster pickups

Some people will call these noiseless Telecaster pickups but Kinman prefers to describe them correctly as Zero-Hum Telecaster pickups.  That's because there are 2 types of noise, Hum which is cancelled in the pickup and Buzz which can only be minimized by shielding the wiring cavities (refer to >Technical >Perfect Guitar >Shielding for newer guitars
